I’ve just found this audio interview, I know it’s almost a year old but I found it helpful nonetheless and explains about why the decision was made to tear down the existing arena and build a new one.
I was hoping they would renovate the existing arena as we went to concerts there as children and all the history, but I can now see the point of view of building a new one.
