I recently moved to new Sudbury area near Lansing/Maley Drive and have heard that there is a great walking trail along Lily Creek. I look forward to exploring it this summer. I know there is an entrance to the trail on Maley Drive but traffic is crazy there and I’d rather not walk along the highway with no sidewalk with my daughter to access it and am wondering if anyone familiar with the area knows another entry point?

Welcome to New Sudbury, yes you can use several entry to the trail, there are many. The first is beside the royal bank on LaSalle , on the falcon bridge side, that would be the one beginning of it ending on Maley. And then another 2 entries on Lansing just up from food basics it crosses the road there at the creek. And another on Lansing toward the end, closer to the round about on the right hand side across from the townhouses, There are other entries in the dead ends of the streets that the trail crosses

The easiest way would be twin forks playground on Gary street , if you walk straight past the building and across the fields you will find the trail, if you go right it’s towards Maley, and left will take you across Lansing just mentioned and to the royal bank entry.

On another note, this trail is particularly nice in summer time if you have children and you can find minnows, and there are several bridges

Hope this is of some assistance

I was mistaken, the trail entrance on Lasalle is on the left of the royal bank , not on the right. Beside the creek, on the left . There are some benches there, I was going from memory however I’ve actually went walking there recently and realized my error. Hope you enjoy new Sudbury, it’s a wonderful area.

I found the entrance at the end of Lasalle closer to Maley Drive, thanks! Can’t wait to explore it
