Sudbury Wolves Sports & Entertainment Unveils “The Biggest goal Light in the World” Project
Sudbury, ON – Sudbury Wolves Sports and Entertainment (SWSE) is thrilled to announce the launch of a game-changing project that will bring excitement to hockey fans in Sudbury and captivate audiences around the globe. As the parent company of the Sudbury Wolves, Five, Spartans, and the newly introduced Sudbury Cyclones, SWSE is proud to introduce The Biggest Goal Light in the World.
This ambitious project will transform Sudbury’s iconic downtown Water Tower into a towering 120-foot goal light. Every time the Sudbury Wolves score, the tower will light up in vibrant red, mimicking the familiar goal light seen in hockey arenas worldwide.
“I’m beyond excited to share this remarkable project with the community,” said Dario Zulich, owner and CEO of Sudbury Wolves Sports and Entertainment. “It’s been in the works for several years, and I’m thrilled to finally bring something truly special to Sudbury. The Biggest Goal Light in the World will be a beacon of excitement for our city and for hockey fans everywhere.”
The official unveiling and lighting ceremony will take place ahead of the annual Santa Claus Parade, marking the start of a new chapter in Sudbury’s sports and community culture. The project features over 100 lighting fixtures and 2,500 LEDs, with local lighting expert and artist Andre Labelle from Y-Lighting contributing his creative vision to the design.
When the tower isn’t lighting up in celebration of a Wolves goal, it will feature dynamic, color-changing lights at night, similar to the CN Tower in Toronto.
During the holiday season, the tower will host scheduled light shows synchronized to popular Christmas music. “Think of it like the Bellagio Fountain shows in Las Vegas,” said Paul Hamilton, Marketing & Gameday Director of Sudbury Wolves Sports and Entertainment. “It’ll be an exciting experience for everyone to come together, park, and enjoy something unique during the holidays. This could become a new tradition for Sudbury.”
Details on the upcoming holiday light shows will be shared soon, promising to bring even more joy and celebration to the community this festive season.

I love this idea, of resembling the CN tower. Sudbury needs activity and excitement, and this can draw new interest in the hockey games. thank you
